Hi, I’m Heather Lieurance.
Throughout my spiritual journey, God has been pursuing my heart, as he does with all of us. But my pursuit of him over the years has looked more like ‘show and tell’ than a fully surrendered heart.
While I sang “Jesus Loves Me” as a kid, I wondered inside, “But, does he really love ME? What can I do to make sure he notices and loves me?” My childish method of approaching God and this question followed me into adulthood, where I grew weary of trying, weary of wondering, and, quite frankly, weary of myself.
But about 10 years ago, the Lord took me through a series of life events that finally felt like a very personal encounter with God. This began a process in which I am continuing to learn to engage in life and in prayer with my whole heart and to simply receive his love. It is an ongoing process, and it all centers around getting Quiet on Purpose.

My Approach
Contemplative
Through Spiritual Direction, my gift to you is to offer time and space characterized by silent contemplation, with minimal, prayerful, intentional feedback. This then allows you to begin to notice what the Holy Spirit might be saying to you.
Trinitarian
God the Father is continually pursuing our hearts through the Holy Spirit in order to transform us into the likeness of his Son, Jesus. In Spiritual Direction, we acknowledge and depend on this reality.
Biblical
Scripture is foundational in how we know and understand God and his ways, so Spiritual Direction will always seek to elevate this essential foundation.
